My IDA [Individual Development Account] experience was just incredible. I saved a few bucks every week and after a year, I had a savings account with $3,000 in it! And I'm glad that the MoneyWise class was required, because it really helped me develop a healthier relationship with money. So many of the skills I learned in class seemed so obvious, but I never thought/knew how to do them until we went over them in class. For example, tracking my spending made a HUGE difference in how I now spend money. Also, the exercises in the beginning when we explored our relationships with money - I discovered I'm a carefree, spirited, impulsive spender. It helps to put a name on things.

A Self Guided Tour of Alternatives Federal Credit Union
What would you build if you could build anything? That was the question we faced in designing our new building in 2002. Our intention was to take a stand for community in the midst of an increasingly global economy. Our new facility is a business tool, improving the delivery of services to our membership. We planned the building to accommodate growth for at least 10 years. We wanted it to remind our members why they do business with us. We wanted it to be comfortable, efficient, responsive to technological change and to include green features and energy efficiency. The following guided tour of our building allows you to take a stroll through Alternatives and view for yourself all we have accomplished.
