Holly Adams Business IDA

Holly Adams, a member since 1994, heard about Individual Development Accounts, but it wasn't until federal art cutbacks affected her work that she started asking questions and opened an IDA. She believes the time she put into the IDA classes, and her commitment to saving, has changed her work-life. "The IDA program is really amazing. It helped me clarify and focus where my energy and resources needed to go, and once I figured that out --- it gave me the money I needed to move forward."

A Self Guided Tour of Alternatives Federal Credit Union

What would you build if you could build anything? That was the question we faced in designing our new building. Our intention was to take a stand for community in the midst of an increasingly global economy. Our new facility is a business tool, improving the delivery of services to our membership. We planned the building to accommodate growth for at least 10 years. We wanted it to remind our members why they do business with us. We wanted it to be comfortable, efficient, responsive to technological change and to include green features and energy efficiency. The following guided tour of our building allows you to take a stroll through Alternatives and view for yourself all we have accomplished.
