Phishing Scams

During the last few weeks, there have been multiple "Phishing" scams that are initiated via email that appear to be from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) or other credit union entity. This false email asks for the recipient to click on a link to verify account registration. If the recipient proceeds, the link directs them to a false website and asks for specific account information.

If you have received any of these emails and did choose to respond with your confidential account information, please contact Alternatives immediately at 607-273-4611, Ext 804.

Alternatives takes the security of your account information very seriously and will continue to try to educate members of these third-party attempts to improperly obtain such information directly from our members. Alternatives will not solicit sensitive account information from our members via email. Members are reminded to review their accounts on a regular basis and to alert Alternatives if they see any unauthorized activity.
