New Statement Fee

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL MEMBERS

In an effort to curtail increasing mailing costs and provide a more sustainable vision for member services, Alternatives is instituting a $2 monthly fee that will be applied to all members’ accounts who receive paper statements in the mail. This fee is to encourage you to switch to eStatements, which are accessible online via Alternatives Online Member Services. Managing your account online is safe and easy, and best of all more green!

Fee Details
• The fee will begin April 30, 2008 for those who still want to receive paper statements in the mail.
• If you currently receive a printed monthly statement, the $2 fee will be assessed monthly.
• If you currently receive a quarterly statement, the $2 fee will be assessed quarterly.

• eStatements are FREE and can be easily accessed on this site (Online Member Services).
• eStatements are stored as PDF* documents. eStatements are archived as far back as January 2002. You can save your statements to your computer’s hard drive, or print them.
• Don’t have a computer? Feel free to use our kiosk in the lobby!

HOW TO OPT-OUT OF PAPER STATEMENTS

1.) Login to Alternatives Online Member Services.
2.) Click on “Manage Account Profile”
3.) Click on “Change Statement Delivery Method”
4.) Click on the first button: “Click here if you want to Opt-out of paper statements and receive ONLY electronic statements.”
5.) Click on the gray button “Change Statement Delivery Method.” You’re done!

2.) Follow the enrollment instructions on the subsequent pages.
3.) Once enrolled, you can set up your account preferences, including statement delivery method (see above).
