Student Credit Union Volunteer Award
The Student Credit Union Volunteer Award is presented at our Annual Meeting to recognize a community member who has donated their time to help make the student credit union a success. The Student Credit Union has branches in all elementary schools in the Ithaca City School District and a local homeschool group. The Student Credit Union also stages a financial simulation for teens called Mad City Money.
The program relies on volunteers to help children and teens learn about saving, spending, and sharing and to prepare them for the financial challenges they will face as adults. Past recipients have included both student tellers and adults.
